The Inn at Snowbird

The Inn opened its doors in 1973 and was originally called the Turramurra Lodge. The lobby, with its stunning views and cozy wood-burning fireplace, was updated in 2005. Furniture and appliances have also been upgraded within the past few years, and many units have received additional renovations with the individual owners’ personal touches. Guests’ requests for specific units are willingly accommodated if possible, naturally after all owner reservations are filled. Meeting space for small groups can also be arranged.

Guests may take advantage of the many amenities encompassed by Snowbird’s minimal resort fee. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are brewed fresh all day in the Wilbere Ridge Room. The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News are offered daily year-round, and the New York Times is available daily in winter. High-speed wireless internet with technical support is available throughout the building, and toll-free and local calls made to Alta are at no additional charge. The business center provides convenient computer access as well as printing and faxing capabilities. Snowbird also sponsors winter family activities for lodging guests such as night skiing, ice skating, tubing, and weekly ski and snowboard films.

All rooms have color television with cable and ON COMMAND pay movie system, telephone, full size ironing board and iron, box fans and blow dryers. Coffee makers and refrigerators are in every unit.

The heated swimming pool and hot tub, open year-round, are located outdoors and are accessed from level one. Towels and paper cups are provided. An exercise facility, steam room, and changing area are located on level two. The pool, hot tub, and steam room are open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the exercise facility is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The front desk provides board games and playing cards at no charge, and whether in summer or winter, guests are just a short walk from all the action at Snowbird. The front desk also doubles as a concierge to help guests plan their vacation activities.

Please join us for the Saturday wine and cheese reception each Saturday night from 5p.m. to 6p.m. during January, February, and March.

The easiest route to the lifts is via the Snowbird Center. Guests exit the Inn from level one and continue east about 200 yards to the Snowbird Center. From the Snowbird Center guests can access the Tram, Peruvian chairlift or the cat track to the Wilbere chairlift, or catch the UTA Ski bus to Alta.
